Says one of the spokesmen for the campaign:
"Essentially what we're doing is we're working on a bi-partisan solution to fix the debt. We're working with business leaders as well as political leaders to have everybody come to the table and negotiate and collaborate in a way that's forward thinking so that we address all the issues without leaving anything off the table and get to a solution that not only solves the debt for next year or the year after but solves it for...the next generation."
Where are you guys mainly located?
Our offices are located in DC and we have a network of over 100,000 people already across the US that are all engaged and excited about the idea of creating this bi-partisan solution to fix the debt.
How could someone come in contact with you?
We have a Twitter @fixthedebt and we also have a Facebook and our website www.fixthedebt.org. On our website you'll find a ton of information about the debt, about different policies and the history of where we're at today as well as an opportunity to sign the citizen's petition. So you can join that network that's already over 120,000 people across the US by signing that petition and we would engage you in any activities we were doing in your home state or even some that you might be interested in traveling for.
The petition discussed above tells Congress that "The time to act is now, America's debt is unsustainable, A solution must address all parts of the budget, (Congress must) protect America's core values, find common ground, and put National interest ahead of special interests." To find out more on how Fix the Debt's petition will do these things, please visit www.fixthedebt.org

That noted, I have already supported your goal over many years in a number of ways.
So my first impression is that I will support & thank you for your efforts.
In the distant past I have made financial contributions to another group with a similar aim: The Concord Coalition.
In our 2012 presidential race - as in 2008 - a statistical 0% of the electorate supported alternative political parties as dissent against the very long-term debt accumulation our big two parties.
This is both part of & in addition to the issue of our empire-size military both parties continue to vote for.
The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.
