Mitt Romney rekindled the Obama birth certificate controversy today in Michigan during a speech to potential voters. His remarks made it evident that the presidential hopeful is truly willing to say and do anything to get more votes than the current POTUS, even if it means appealing to the nuttiest of the fringe movements in the U.S. Hey, why not just come out as a birther when he and Paul Ryan have already made it apparent that they're running on the most extreme of conservative ideals.
"No one's ever asked to see my birth certificate," said Mittens during a speech in Michigan.
Later he tried to claim that this wasn't a blatant swipe at President Barack Obama, but the man is not a very good liar. In fact, that's been made more than obvious with his bumbling attempts at making a complete 180 degree turn from the Mitt Romney he was just four years ago. Watch the video at the bottom of this post to get a taste of just how much this guy flip-flops and then ask yourself if he's someone worth voting for in November.
Obama spokesman Ben LaBolt made a comment about Mitt's gaffe today saying the following:
"It's one thing to give the stage in Tampa to Donald Trump, Sheriff Arpaio, and Kris Kobach, but Governor Romney's decision to directly enlist himself in the birther movement should give pause to any rational voter across America."
LaBolt is absolutely right. These fruitcakes like Orly Taitz, Joe Arpaio and Donald Trump are completely insane, and to continue to stir up controversy over the birthplace of the current president is just downright dirty. It's a worthless politician who relies on the most insane of the fringe groups in the U.S. to garner attention and votes. Perhaps Mitt feels threatened that he may not win the election in November, so he's desperately grappling for as many votes as he can possibly get -- even if it's by way of embarrassing what few sane conservatives there are left in this country.
