Missouri Representative Todd Akin could hardly be considered a popular man amongst the general public these days, and now he can add another annoyed citizen to the list of those he has upset with his actions: Piers Morgan.
Morgan, who had agreed to interview the controversial Republican representative in an interview Monday night, was left sitting alone with an empty chair when Akin backed out of the interview at the very last second!
Whether his publicist is working overtime and wanted to avoid yet another ugly, poorly thought-out scene, or whether Rep. Akin was at a loss for the words to defend his ridiculous statement regarding "legitimate rape" is uncertain, but certainly at this point, the Republicans can only really do damage control with Todd Akin!
As a result, Piers Morgan verbally reacted to the Representative's disrespectful actions, calling him a "gutless little twerp" and challenging him to appear in the future as promised to answer for his statements about rape and resulting pregnancies.

Akin being an idiot doesn't make Morgan less of a pompous hack.
However, as with all Constitutional rights guaranteed to American citizens, such rights are extended to those citizens of other nations who are residing legally in our country. Therefore, his opinions and speech are both protected under and by the 1st Amendment. Hence, he is free to openly express his opinions, regardless of the projected attitude by which he delivers those personal opinions.
It's the American way !!!
