Planned Parenthood has seen its state funding drop since 2010. President Obama is to the rescue, providing "Title X Grants" from the HHS office of "Population Affairs" to circumvent the wishes of the states elected officials. If abortion is a "women's health" issue, why would the office of "Population Affairs" provide grant money to fund abortion clinics?
Ten republican controlled legislatures voted to defund the Abortion organization founded by Margaret Sanger; possibly based on the fact that poll after poll shows that the majority of Americans do not want tax-payer dollars funding abortion. Or, perhaps the states opted to take away funding because a recent Gallup Poll shows that only 41 percent of Americans identify themselves as "pro-choice." This is all speculation, it may just be that the Republicans are continuing to plot their evil "war on women."
The Huffington Post reports that "The Obama administration so far has awarded hefty new federal family planning grants to Planned Parenthood clinics in three states that have cut the providers' funding: New Jersey, Tennessee and North Carolina." Obama stated that he is providing the money so that his daughters can "control their own health care choices..." (and perhaps not be punished with a baby)?
The Title X grants were also given to the abortion provider under George W. Bush and Bill Clinton. One of the recipients of the grants is in North Carolina - the federal grant was three times more than the state funding received previously. The new Obama money will be used by the clinic in part, to provide "counseling" for teens (and no doubt, free condoms for 12-year-olds).

The Center for Disease Control is a PROPER name and THEY chose to spell THEIR name that way. Since it is THEIR chosen spelling, it is incumbent upon all of us, you, me, and everyone else, to HONO(U)R THEIR wishes and spell it as THEY choose. By not doing so, we INSULT them.

Common COURTESY, often lacking on Gather, demands that we spell proper names as the OWNER of the name wishes. My response to that is as follows...If a woman does not believe that life begins at conception, I say rather than to have an abortion, to wait nine months and then tell me that life had not begun nine months earlier...
Those same people, as a group, tend to be selfish inconsiderate slobs. Their word is no good, their checks are no good, they crowd to the head of the line often endangering other people, and so on. A few individuals in the group may not be that way, but the majority of them are.
I used to have to deal with them every day and I got sick and tired of the selfishness exhibited by them. I don't deal with them any more, I simply priced them out of the market for my products.
