Charlie Crist is a homosexual who may have tried to kiss Florida GOP bigwig Jim Greer during a trip to California, according to explosive allegations raised Friday in a corruption probe into Greer.
The gay rumors are nothing new for the 55-year-old Florida politician. The ex-governor seems like an honorable man, but that hasn't stopped people from talking about his sexual proclivities. He's been married to Carole Rome for four years, but many people in Florida believe he married her as a cover.
Frankly, a politician's private life is their own business. He was a decent governor, so why should anyone care what goes in his bedroom? This type of intrusiveness is what prevents talented people from getting into public service.
Either way, the rumors have popped up again. Documents from the Greer investigation contain some very salacious accusations about Crist.
For instance, he allegedly paid two male lovers to leave the state to conceal relationships, and once tried to kiss Greer during a trip to California, according to the files. Bizarrely, he also once allegedly tried to run someone down with a golf cart. Only in Florida, right?
Crist switched from Republican to Independent during a contentious 2010 Senate race to Marco Rubio.

"Charlie Crist contacted WTSP/Tampa Bay's 10 News reporter Mike Deeson late Friday evening and said that the statements from Jim Greer are "a bunch of delusional lies."
Crist added that Greer's attorney wanted him to change his affidavit about his knowledge of Greer's compensation for fundraising. Crist was adamant that he wasn't going to do it and only going to tell the truth.
