Obama and Romney both made appearances in a video on the CMT Music Awards show Wednesday night—both seeking the country music fan vote.
The show opened with a "campaign" fight between hosts Toby Keith and Kristen Bell. Both were "fighting" to host the show alone. They even ran negative campaign ads against each other before Willie Nelson made the final decision to have them host together.
Watch the political show opening video here on the CMT website.
President Obama says, "I want them both."
Mitt Romney managed to actually be funny after saying he too wanted both of them to host. "See, I just put two people back to work," Romney said. "You're welcome, America."
Guess who else makes an appearance...none other than "drunken" Kathie Lee and Hoda from the Today show. (There was no wine in the clip so maybe they were sober.)
Matthew McConaughey, Jon Bon Jovi, and journalist Steve Kroft also chimed in for the bit.
Keith and Bell end up being escorted through the crowd in a giant, red Solo cup (for Keith's hit song, "Red Solo Cup"). Even after all that negativity, they managed to put it aside and get on with the show. Do you think Obama and Romney would ever make such a gesture? Or better yet, why hasn't Congress already made such a gesture?
Political views aside, this was funny video. Enjoy.

Sorry, this is one time when I can not agree with your assessment. To me, this was not in anyway, shape nor form a comedic joke. It was nothing less than an asinine sickening statement by Mitt Romney, a man who does not have enough moral values to realize how insensitive such a pathetic joke his statement was.
I say this, inasmuch, as Mitt Romney's entire time at Bain Capitol as it's CEO, was mainly spent draining various manufacturing companies of there financial assets and thereby bankrupting the businesses and putting thousands of American workers in the unemployed and welfare lines.
For Mitt Romney to attempt to make light of that repulsive fact, only proves his insensitivety towards his fellow Americans. Further it demonstrates his lack of ethical standards and non caring attitude for those manufacturing plants which he forced into bankruptcy and the plight of the workers and their families, which in his greed for more and more financial gain, he immorally and dishonorably ignored.
No, his statement did not make me laugh, it made me sick to my stomach.
