Ann Romney's husband, presidential candidate, Mitt, may not have the vote of many dog lovers. After news broke that he travelled to Canada with the family's Irish Setter, Seamus, on the roof of the car, animal lovers became outraged. Ann didn't suppress the complaints when she defended her husband's decision.
In an interview with Diane Sawyer, Ann Romney said she thought strapping the dog to the roof of the car was a kinder alternative than putting the dog in a kennel for two weeks. Really? What would have happened if the strap holding the dog's crate to the roof failed. Seamus would have most certainly have met his death. At least with a reputable kennel, the dog would have a place to be cared for by professionals.
Dogs are members of the family and should be treated as such. Mitt and Ann Romney don't seem to realize that making Seamus travel in such a dangerous manner is irresponsible and cruel. In the interview Romney didn't say the action was wrong, only he wouldn't do it again with "the attention it's received." The fact he doesn't recognize this cruelty is maddening

Would she be strapping one of her kids on the car's roof?
I heard a similar statement when ... waterboarding!

Anyway:
I wonder in which book he wrote this ... myself I ate snake and grasshoppers in ... South America! Not so far from our own civilization!
In France, they use to eat horses. I never saw any horse meal when in the butcher store here.

This is the best the left can do.
And, you're not running for President, are you?!!?

He's not my choice, but Romney leans more toward dull gentleman than Antichrist. The dog didn't factor in my assessment.
Yes, let's discuss dog abuse and canine carnivores!
