Occupy protesters, along with union workers, reportedly caused a scene outside of the CPAC event taking place in D.C. today. Police were warning bloggers and other interested parties to stay away until the "scuffle" was maintained. Of course, not much is being released about this right now, so exactly how the police are maintaining this issue isn't entirely known. Hopefully it was peaceful.
The Daily Caller, which isn't necessarily the most credible of sources, claims that protesters were being paid $60.00 a piece to protest at the CPAC event today. However, this source wouldn't produce any proof (photographic or video). What is known for a fact, though, is that protestors actually paid to attend the event in D.C., perhaps they paid $60.00 a piece and The Daily Caller is just exaggerating like it sometimes does.
While Mitt Romney was giving his speech, however flip-floppy it was, Occupy protesters paid and "infiltrated" the CPAC assembly by registering. Oh, those sneaky protesters! The report states that the occupiers were standing among supporters of Romney and right wing ideals with duct tape over their mouths. It's presumed that they weren't making much noise due to this fact. However, that didn't stop supporters of the CPAC event from shoving and getting rowdy with the Occupy protestors. Doesn't it figure that this type of mentality goes right to violence?
What's even more ridiculous is that security escorted the protesters out of the assembly, even though they paid and registered like everyone else.
"Occupy a job!" conservative attendees shouted at the unfairly treated occupiers.
It's truly despicable that people in this economy and the current state of this nation are being so callous and insensitive to those who are truly trying to stand up for practically the rest of the country. The mindless sheep follow the conservative politicians based on their social and religious ideology, ignoring just how oppressive and corrupt the politicians they're voting for truly are. Blinded by political buzz-words that have been regurgitated to them by Fox News, these baby birds squawk and chirp without even realizing just what's going on around them.
And that is just sad.

One protester told TheDC that all the “Occupy” activists were being paid to protest, and that his union, Sheet Metal Workers Local 100, approached him about the money-making opportunity.
“I have nothing nice to say about Local 100. … They just told me ‘you wanna make sixty bucks? So c’mon,’” the protester said.
Other “Occupy CPAC” protesters were unwilling to speak on camera because they were unaware what they were protesting and what the CPAC event was about.

Here's a little lesson on the search feature called GOOGLE in the upper right had corner of your screen (if your using Mozilla like most). Try typing in the search terms OWS Crimes by the numbers. You will get a return of 42,500,000 results. I'd suggest reading the first page (only 10 links) and if you by then don't realize that Dan E.'s numbers are probably on the low side, then trying to logically reason with you is futile.

Since then, there have been incidents of a police officer getting hit in the face with a brick and another police officer was stabbed with scissors.
I have been calling for the movement to denounce the violence, but they do not, which is particularly troubling.

We do know that the OWSers were asked to leave and they did not, which means they were breaking the law and deserved of arrest.

Protests are supposed to be violent ... So OWS is only doing what it's supposed to do when members throw bottles at police, break windows ... "occupy" private businesses or other people's property. I get it now ... (Actually already got it but confirmation is always nice). And along with my own eyes and ears as well as with Renee's video link ... You know very well (or as someone in the "reportage" field, you should know) he did not "try to board the plane with it" even though all the headlines said that. He tried to check a locked gun box holding his Glock 27 pistol and ammunition with a Delta Air Lines ticket agent before boarding the plane. He tried to do the right thing and was arrested because New York laws are screwy.

Another case (not unlike the protester in Renee's video) of not liking the consequences of one's own actions. She caused her own take down by her own choice of behaviors. He lost his standing as I recall... because there was some question about the amount of force he used (not that force was not called for) and was booted out of his place with the Ron Paul camp last time I read anything about it.
In any case, there is no comparison here with what goes on at ows "protests".

Here is a video where the Occupier claims violence by the police. She was asked if the OWS demonstrators were throwing bottles and rocks, the action that initiated the response by police (tear gas) that was used to disperse the crowd. The Occupier admits that they did, in fact, throw bottles and rocks at the police officers first. RF, what should have the police done in this case? Walk away?

The ongoing assault by protesters on the police has been so obviously an attempt to make one "snap" so they can claim police brutality. The men and women in blue have shown amazing restraint and professionalism. I pray for them to continue showing restraint, in the face of the violence.

I get the feeling the reaction they got was the exact reaction they wanted (which is why they throw bottles etc in the first place ... for attention)... so that she could then play 'poor me' for the cameras ... poor me the police overreacted and cut off my rights to protest.
