The entire incident happened yesterday when the Governor hand delivered a letter to the President when he touched down in Phoenix. The pair had a bit of a fight during their encounter during which, Jan Brewer actually shook her finger in Barack Obama's face, which seems unusual.
Later in the day while explaining her actions, the Governor said, "I felt a little bit threatened, if you will, in the attitude that he had." What type of threatened is she talking about here? Certainly Jan Brewer was not concerned that she was in any physical danger from the POTUS. Perhaps she felt that she was not being heard by him.
According to the White House's account of the heated exchange, "The president said he'd be glad to meet with her again, but did note that after their last meeting, a cordial discussion in the oval office, the governor inaccurately described the meeting in her book."
What do you think about this entire incident? You can see a video of their fight below. It seems really hard to believe that the Governor of Arizona truly felt threatened. At least there is place for discourse in the U.S. where people can discuss their concerns opening without fear of true, physical harm.
