The Cain campaign is not going to get beyond the charges of sexual harassment easily. A witness to Herman Cain's alleged inappropriate behavior towards female employees of the National Restaurant Association spoke out against the Republican candidate. According to Politico, the witness, a former employee of the National Restaurant Association and a GOP pollster, announced in a radio interview on Wednesday morning that he saw Cain sexually harass a woman back in the 1990s. This is not good news for the Cain campaign, which has so far had a tough several days since the story first came out about the buried sexual harassment cases, just days after Cain was soaring in the polls. How is Herman Cain going to dodge this bullet?
The witness to Herman Cain's behavior does happen to be a supporter of another Republican candidate, Rick Perry. His name is Chris Wilson. This doesn't necessarily take away his credibility; after all, what man in his position would not speak out? He simply happened to be in the right place at the right time to procure this political amo against an opponent of his favorite political candidate. It does show what a small world Washington politics really is.
Wilson claims to have witnessed the harassment at a restaurant just outside Washington, on the other side of the Potomac in Crystal City, Virginia. Apparently others were present, and Cain was told to stop harassing the woman. Even though he is a firsthand witness to Herman Cain's misconduct, Wilson was not about to name other witnesses or the name of the woman who was allegedly victimized. He is coming out alone on this one.
