In a bizarre turn of events, Sarah Palin has obviously decided to bite the hand that feeds her by dissing Fox News. The Wasilla wunderkind recently criticized the network for, among other things, playing a "quasi-reality-show" media game of building up candidates in order to tear them down. And if anybody knows about reality shows, it's La Palin.
Sarah Palin cited her clone--er--fellow female presidential hopeful Michelle Bachman as an example of Fox News' penchant for lauding conservative politicians and then trashing them--or at least withdrawing support. Shortly after her Ames, Iowa Straw Poll victory, Bachman experienced great popularity and praise from Fox News. But now that Rick Perry has entered the fray, she's down in the polls. And speaking of the tongue-tied Perry, his position as the frontrunner has become tenuous because, according to La Palin, the media-- a.k.a Fox News--has now becoming fixated on Herman Cain whose Florida straw poll win made him the new "flavor of the week." Ouch. Apparently, Palin's point is that Fox News should focus on all the presidential hopefuls with equal time and enthusiasm.
Of course, the real question spawned by Sarah Palin's maundering complaints is: Will she resign or at least take a leave of absence from her position at Fox News? If she does either, it could "signal her intention to run for president...[which is] "exactly what a lot of people are waiting for."
Right. A lot of people are also waiting her to finally pack up her winnings and retire from public life, but, unfortunately, that's highly unlikely. So the question remains: Is Sarah Palin's attack on Fox News her first step in declaring her candidacy for President of the United States?
What do you think?

Your first mistake was referencing a blog from "Thy Black Man" who fancies himself as "brotherhood at its best" to support what you thought were facts.
Your second mistake was assuming that a liberal blogger cares about reality let alone the truth. I am assuming that there is mold in Thy Black Man's mother's basement and it has manifested itself in his warped brain.
Fact 1.) She wasn't attacking Fox News. She was actually on Fox News doing political commentary and criticizing the mainstream media in general on their poll driven coverage of candidates.
Fact 2.) Fox news must love you wide eyes who start up these false rumors that drive up their internet traffic. Ca-ching.
Suggesting that she might resign is a liberal fantasy. Dream on...
Most people at this point in time dont really care.
You might actually be taken seriously if you crazies didn't go into a tizzy everything the woman speaks. Until your obsession ends she won't be going anywhere. She's made millions off of your collective unhealthy fascination.
Secondly, the only reason why she gets so much attention is because of the absolutely ridiculous "information" that spews from her mouth.
""Secondly, the only reason why she gets so much attention is because of the absolutely ridiculous "information" that spews from her mouth. ""
It's called obsession. Get over her.
1. Compulsive preoccupation with a fixed idea or an unwanted feeling or emotion, often accompanied by symptoms of anxiety.
2. A compulsive, often unreasonable idea or emotion.
All you have to do is look at all of the posts on Palin here on Gather. Every time Palin speaks Gather gets flooded with posts like this. Now read all of the liberal's comments on this post alone. There is nothing healthy about your fixation on this woman and nobody seems to cause liberals more anxiety than Palin does.
Everytime Obama says something, all the conservatives get together and rant on about what he says and how he fails and how it's all his fault. So is this not a form of your so called "obsession"?
There is a big difference between debating policy and spending bills in the arena of ideas, regarding the president and congress, and chasing a woman around, waiting for her to say something, and then blatantly misleading (lying) about what she said, as was done in this post. The president and congress effects all of our lives and it is our civic duty to stand up for what you believe and where you think the country should look like. The only thing Palin effects is liberals' blood pressure. It's time to move on sweetie...
Sarah Palin is definitely not as important as the president. Duh. But nowadays, she does have a tremendous influence on our society. You think that Teapublicans don't listen to what she says or that her large group of supporters don't support what she says? There's a reason that we get mad every time she speaks...because then a bunch of idiots believe and take in what she says, and then we have a huge mess where people think they know some "facts".
I responded to this post only because it implied that Sarah Palin was attacking Fox news and that there was a push for her to resign. If that was true it would be news and I wouldn't fault anybody for writing or talking about it. The problem is that, like most of the stuff you stalkers rant about, it was a blatant lie.
Once again, the truth is that she was actually ON Fox News! She talking about the mainstream Media's poll driven coverage of candidates and this post was a complete misrepresentation of the truth, let alone reality. Obsession does tend to cause delusions Annie so be careful. I'd hate to see you turn into a full blown kook like those squatters on Wall Street...
""because then a bunch of idiots believe and take in what she says, and then we have a huge mess where people think they know some "facts".""
Kind of like you guys and this post proves it. Hypocrisy is bliss...
And guess what, I came on here to comment on the real "truth" that spills from the mouths of people like you. So here I am. Trying to get people to look at the facts. Yup, that makes me a stalker.
I love how you would criticize Occupy Wall Street, but fall in love with the Tea Party. So I guess you're right...hypocrisy is definitely bliss.
Do you agree that this post is misleading at best? I doubt it. You wouldn't know the truth if it fell on you in the form of a house in a tornado.
""I love how you would criticize Occupy Wall Street, but fall in love with the Tea Party.""
The TEA party is for smaller government and less spending. Period.
Occupy Wall Street is for communism, anti-isreal, illegal amnesty, wealth redistribution, pass the damn bill, and legalizing hemp if you go buy just a few of the signs I saw. That doesn't even start to cover the second wave with unions doing their stupid chants that never work.
I am for smaller government and and less spending. All that drug induced dribble coming from your side is why I don't vote for democrats.
Occupy Wall Street isn't this horrific movement towards communism. It is a movement that criticizes the greedy corporations that have partially led to this economic situation. It's full of people with all different kinds of opinions, including conservatives. YES, there are conservatives in this movement. The Tea Party movement wants smaller government, less spending. Occupy Wall Street wants bigger government, bigger spending. They're the same opposites.
I don't see any more Republicans willing to jump in at this point. It's time for Republicans to let go of the idea that the Grass is Always Greener. You are stuck with the choices you have, get busy choosing.
Romney will be our next president in 2012.
Do I want Romney as our next President? Hell no I do not. I am bending over backwards to be fair here.
Romney being president would be terrible. None of the Republican presidents are even close to being qualified. I may not agree with everything Obama does, but he is much more suited to be president.
That's exactly what Obama and a democratic filibuster proof congressional super-majority did. I haven't heard "yes we can" being chanted in quite some time.
I think your assessment was fair Chris. I don't like Bachmann either. In fact Romney is the only one I like. As far as independents, I am not sure Obama can win them back. As Annie articulated, they have seen how qualified Obama is and judging from the elections in 2010, green energy scandals, and overall incoherence being bumbled from Obama, only a political disaster can stop republicans from taking the White House along with the senate.
And apart from that, she couldn't seem to make up her mind about whether she was part of the media, a maverick rogue who meets with foreign leaders and speaks on behalf of the American people, or just one of the regular folks who have a hard time trying to understand the confusing and contradictory messages presented by the media.
I also thought it was funny how she referred to the other candidates as if she were an actual candidate when she's not, and how she seems to want people to think she knows what's going on yet she repeated referred to Republican candidate Herman Cain as Herb Cain.
That was even funnier than the part where she seemed to be saying that she doesn't understand how polls work. Are there really people out there who think she should be taken seriously as a candidate if she were to run for any office? I find that hard to believe.
I saw the interview, Sarah Palin is PUKE!
That's for damned sure! :)
They just don't realize how badly they're being pimped.
She'll never run for president, it doesn't pay enough.
p.s. , take Bristol with her.
Unfortunately, that's the price we pay for being apart of the so called
"Global Economy" and a partner in "Free World Trade"
But, that notwithstanding, I most empathically agree with your sentiment.
Annie, where did I imply that just because you are Chinese American that I don't feel yu should have the same rights as a white American? In fact, I didn't even know that Murdoch became an American citizen in 1985 until today so I guess that makes my argument moot. I just don't trust the Fox New corporate agenda. It has nada to do with with you being a Chinese American (proud or not) nor me being a Polish/Scottish/French/Italian/English/German/Irish American (proud or not).
Oh, my bad. I thought when referring to foreigners, you were referring to immigrants.
But why would you think foreigners owning broadcasting companies is bad? They give us a new perspectives and allow us to see more of the world than what we are limited to via our own country's media. We never hear much about foreign policy and the world that goes around us, and foreign broadcasting organizations help expose us to opinions outside of our country.
Annie, when I write the word 'citizen' I mean citizen not immigrant and not foreigner. I don't care if American cable systems present stations and programs from different lands, however I do care when a network is presented as speaking for Americans when in fact it is not owned by an American which I thought was the case with Fox News however Rupert Murdoch snuck in an American citizenship and made my original point moot.
That does not mean however I trust him or his agenda as far as I could throw him.
Aniko, EXACTLY. : )
John, I think Fox has more of an agenda, but they are both owned by major corporations that do everything to protect their self interest.
"John, I think Fox has more of an agenda, but they are both owned by major corporations that do everything to protect their self interest."
There's nothing at all inconsistent about those two ideas, to me. There's simply no reason to think that such people would not collude to present a "show" that gave the appearance of serious conflict, since that would serve very well those who would "do everything to protect their self interest". The "show" and the ability to convince the populace that they were getting the "whole truth" would be greatly enhanced by generating that appearance of serious conflict. That those fellas with the deep pockets never thought of that, is not very probable . . to my mind.
Oh, gotcha gotcha. I guess there was a misinterpretation. My bad completely....I thought you were criticizing immigrants for some reason so I was like...what.
And yes, I do share you hatred of Fox News. They definitely have an agenda going, no doubt, and it's a shame that so many people watch and believe the biased, and sometimes blatantly false information they give people.
Aniko,
Yeah, that's true. 80% of the broadcast media is controlled by 4 or 5 large corporations, so much of the information that we get is, in some way, biased. I really hope we can fix this.
She is an idiot who blames her own stupidity on the "Lamestream" media and now she is losing some of her zobies.
I just called her stupid and NO zombie rescued her with "facts" or even an insult.
This really sounds like Palin-paranoia. No matter what the lady does, you will find fault. If she helps an old lady across the street you would see an evil Republican motive.
This is why your position has so little credibility. It's not based on fact but emotions and name calling.
She is not running for President and if she was, you'd think you'd be encouraging it so that the President could win again, but instead you result to petty insults which means you must think she's capable of winning. Which is not the case.
