Are the Democrats beginning to lose faith in Barack Obama? According to figures from the Democratic National Committee, fund-raising has dropped considerably in the last few months. This could be a bad sign for the Democrats.
Of course the Democrats are blaming the decline on the Republicans, but then what else is new:
Both the DNC and President Barack Obama's re-election campaign were forced to curtail fundraising during the summer because of the protracted and acrimonious negotiations with Congressional Republicans over the national debt, which led Obama to cancel fundraisers around the country. - Reuters 9/11/11
The national chairperson of the Democratic party, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, is urging Democrats to rally around Obama's newest jobs plan, even though, like his healthcare plan, no one will really know what is in it until it passsd.
The President is in trouble. The economy is getting worse, no matter how the administration wants to spin the numbers. Every day it seems Barack Obama's approval numbers get worse. Obama ran on the slogan "Hope and change" yet the only change has been for the worse. And as the numbers show, there isn't much hope either.
Perhaps the Democrats are realizing the President really isn't the leader he convinced everyone he was. It is certainly possible people are realizing that he has no experience in running the country, he has no plan and is as Charles Krauthhammer recently put it "He is in way over his head".
Unfortunately in a game where money seems to rule the outcome, the Obama campaign still has plenty of money for his campaign, after all he has run for reelection since the day after he was elected the first time.
