Sarah Palin, The Vacationing Hypocrite

Only Black presidents take vacations.
Only Black Presidents use teleprompters.
It was a Black President who caused the recession.
It is the Black president who is the leader of the party of NO!

You also have to consider that Sarah Palin quit halfway through her term to develop her burgeoning career as a reality TV star and would be political pundit.

The office of the President travels with him wherever he goes, whoever it is.

Every day is a vacation for Sarah Palin. A vacation from reality.

Again I feel the need to remind everyone that as of this writing Sarah Palin holds NO elected office, is NOT running for any elected office (officially at least) and so she should NOT be given any space nor consideration of her opinions or statements here on Gather Politics.

She is a NON-Issue...if we ignore her, she will eventually fade away.

We have REAL problems facing this country...Sarah Palin is merely a distraction...DO NOT allow ourselves to take the bait and waste time on her and her silly POV.

I agree with you John. And yes we do have problems and one of the shouldnt be Palin. She isnt running she just wants to keep the mystery alive to sell more books and keep her fan base to keep her pocketbook filled.

John, I agree as well. Her 15 minutes have past long ago. She is an oportunist at best, and will stay in the limelight just to push her own agenda and pocketbook. The buzz around her in Iowa was more related to fame than politics....next.

Did she criticize George W for taking vacations? By this same point in his presidency that Obama is at right now, George W. Bush had taken 196 days of vacation -- compared to Obama's 61.

At this point in time and this is after 911 President bush had taken 240+ vacation days Obama has taken around 70.

Now I will give you three reasons why Obama will win in 2012---Bachmann, Romney and Perry.

It always makes me laugh when someone says that Obama himself is the reason that our economy is in the crapper. You can't possibly be so ignorant that you truly believe a sitting President of just two years has single handedly wrecked an entire country's finances. It's that kind of blind party loyalty that has ruined Washington DC. I find it revolting that Republicans refuse to admit that they played (and continue to play) a huge part in the current problems of the US. It's not Obama's fault that he inherited this kind of government. He came into office in one of the worst possible financial situations since the great depression, so I think he's doing about the best he can do under the circumstances. You don't really want to start comparing vacation time between Bush and Obama because that's a joke. As Diana said above, Bush has every other president beat by a land slide. Bush was sitting in Crawford, TX almost weekly every single year he was in office. If Obama wants to go play a round of golf sometimes or go on a family trip, it's certainly is no different than any other president of the past. It's funny that when Repub. presidents do it, the Repub. party members are fine with it but if it's a Dem. president, then the GOP is up in arms about it. People my age (35+yrs) are sick of the "My political party is the only party and we are never wrong" nonsense from both sides. Most of us feel that we are (and have been) voting for the lesser of two evils with these DC politicians. How is it Obama's fault that for DECADES the DC machine has been spending more money than they can print? The present situation the country is in and the problems we have can ALL be laid at the feet of politicians who have made a CAREER of being in government, made back room deals with big business, and lined their pockets with dirty money. President Obama did not invent the huge problems in this country, he did not wreck our healthcare system, he did not open the Mexican border up to millions of illegals that flood through here yearly, he did not launch a war and then offer to rebuild the country we went to war with. What President Obama DID DO was even more shocking and unbelieveable.....he played 18 holes of golf. Oh the horror! The filthy horror!

Our nation's current economic condition is too big and complex to blame on one single individual politician.

Americans want to have their cake and eat it to - we want low taxes but still want the government to provide for our schools, our roads and our defense. We want the government to help out those who are too poor, too old or too disabled to fend for themselves.

And here we sit arguing about which president played more golf?

" ......I assumed that everyone could actually figure out I was being sarcastic about "the horror" part. But I have learned I can't assume that people in this world have a sense of humor, so I just want to say that I truly agree with M.K. and the others. If the worst thing people can say about President Obama right now is that he plays too much golf, then I'd say those people need to get a life. This country is in trouble up to our eyeballs and this is not the time for Washington to play around like children. Sadly, it seems that's all they're good at.
