Rush Limbaugh certainly isn't a favorite to balanced-minded individuals in this country and internationally. In fact, the notoriously loud-mouthed hypocrite feeds on the fact that people can't stand him. This time it seems that he can't find anything to talk about so it's all about reviving the birther idealisms that Barack Obama is living under some fabricated identity as a US citizen.
So basically Rush Limbaugh addressed a viral email on his radio program that calls to question President Barack Obama's romantic past. It seems that since he proved he was born here by showing his birth certificate (twice), now it's time to attack his life beyond his US birth. Although Rush didn't specifically endorse the sentiments expressed by this viral email he discussed, he made his stance apparent on the topic.
"They are interesting because those people haven't surfaced. There aren't any ex-girlfriends that have admitted it. Students that have been inspired by Obama as a professor, they haven't come forth. The Media hasn't dug 'em up. It is interesting from the standpoint that the guy has not been vetted yet. Look what they're trying to do to Michele Bachmann, what they're planning on doing to [Rick] Perry and so forth. I'm just saying it's very strange that we know so little about a guy who's written two autobiographies. It really is strange."
Who cares who Obama dated back before he met/married Michelle? This is just more of the far right's tired old anti-progressive and anti-American rhetoric that draws people away from what's important, and that's that none of the "hopefuls" on the right look like they have a chance to beat Obama in the 2012 elections. On one hand, you have a guy who invests in pornographic media, a woman who thinks Jesus cures homosexuality and pretty much nothing but variations of the two aforementioned choices. On the other hand, is President Obama, who to be honest, has achieved far more in his short time as president than some of these people have managed to do in an entire career.
So the fact that Rush Limbaugh is even choosing to entertain this email, which is undoubtedly only shared by the lowest common denominators of this society, shows that he is either grasping for negative things to say, or he simply just wants to troll the president, so-to-speak.
Of course some people will chide in, in agreement with Limbaugh and point out the attacks on Bachmann and others who represent the Tea Party and other Republican ideals, but the fact of the matter is simple. This is just more of the same rhetoric fueled by the same racist, ignorant people who claim that the POTUS is a muslim, Kenyan, antichrist (insert random baseless insult here)...
