Rick Perry and porn: You'd think these two things would never be associated with each other, right? Wrong. For all the Texas governor's bluster about his family and spiritual values, there's just one glaring truth that he doesn't want you to know—that he was once a serious investor in the porn industry.
You see, back in 1995, Perry invested between $5,000 and $10,000 in Movie Gallery corporation. Back then, the company was the biggest distributor of pornography in the United States. It was able to sell and rent movies at a lower price than competitors because of its wider profit margins. Simply put, it was a sure-fire investment. But Perry's investment was put in jeopardy when the American Family Association started putting pressure on the feds to investigate the company. If you recall, the AFA is the same organization that recently helped Perry organize his monumental and hypocritical prayer rally.
Given the heady pressure that the AFA started exerting on Movie Gallery, in 1998 Perry moved his investment in the company to a blind trust, which means they're sealed. For all anyone knows, he's still got stock in them. And in 2006, Perry's tort reform law that addressed frivolous lawsuits wasn't really the result of cracking down on people bringing every Tom, Dick and Harry to court over a cup of spilled milk. Of course not. With Perry, every move he makes has an ulterior motive. His tort reform bill essentially protected his investment by making it harder for family values organizations like the AFA from having them investigated for illegal practices.
Never mind that this is the man who helped bring the world such classics as 'Teens with T*ts Volume 1' and 'Teens Never Say No,' Perry's biggest concern was protecting his own ass. So much for family values, and Bible thumping Christian rhetoric. And surely, the American Family Association is very well aware of Perry's maneuvering to save his own skin, but they evidently don't care. As long as he talks the talk, it doesn't matter if he doesn't walk the walk. After all, the more you drive home a lie, the more truthy it gets, right?

So, Rick Perry, the guy who invests in porn, hates accessible healthcare for women, and who thinks that President Obama is evil believes he's more suited to be the President? Perhaps the candidate from Texas should talk to the folks he grew up with in Haskell County. Seems he's not too popular there these days. In fact, his former Boy Scout leader, Wallar Overton, 72, told the Huffington Post that he wouldn't be voting for Perry. Most in the town feel as though the governor has forgotten his roots. And they don't like it one bit.
So, Governor Goodhair now has a new nickname: Perry the Porn Guy. Lovely.

I think there are some sexually frustrated people on here jj... Is there a shrink in the house?
Wrong again ... as usual. Any of the current crop of Republicans will do much worse than Obama. The problem is that Obama has done nothing, not that he has done so much bad. If you want bad we just have to go back to Bush who got us into this mess purposefully.
Better to vote for no one and let the world see how credulous the hypocritical American election system is these days. If a Republican gets elected with 30% of the electorate voting and tries the mandate BS that Bush tried, their credibility as a government will be zero and the people's right to protest and demand change outside the system will be maximized.
Do not vote, or vote independent, but voting Republican puts a stamp of approval on this whole mess, which Obama is correct, he did not create, but it is not good enough not to have caused it, he has not fixed it, and he has not explained it or expressed a vision to fix it other than the over-simplistic things he has been saying in his speeches.
There is no doubt the Republicans are planting comments to get people to vote for them, but they are enemies of this country, the pushers of globalism and the hollowing out and third-worldization of America.
Perry's investments were in a blind trust handled by a completely out of the loop investment house. For Perry to even know where his money was going would have been a violation of the blind trust......so please Reno quit sucking in all of the far wacked out of the mind liberal bloggers information as news and do some of your own checking.
I expect this to continue but the end results will mean it will drive more average voters away from Obama and the dems to someone with an actual success story and plan.

Now, who is lying to whom?
Like I said before, Perry is a hypocrite. He is dangerous for the country. IF he's invested in porn, he shouldn't be hiding it as he attempted to do. Granted, the company no longer exists (bankrupt last year), but he did hide the investment for who knows how long.
Perry is a slimy character. Obama is an Honest Abe compared to him.
So, Perry invested in a company, some part of which is involved in renting out legal X-Rated videos - where community standards find that acceptable and legal?
To me that is not quite the same as for instance majority partner in a topless nude bar or a brothel or something?
I would venture to say that if you went through the average American's portfolio of investments and then looked at eveything those companies have done there is bound to be some illegal, unsavory or distasteful stuff in there ... look at BP. I would rather have him invest in a video store than rents porn that supporting the dishonesty and corruption of BP.
Unless its child porn I really dont care.
