Major Birther advocate Jerome Corsi released his book Where's the Birth Certificate? right after President Obama showed the world his long form birth certificate earlier this spring. With that revelation, the question, "Where is it?" was answered before Corsi's book hit the shelves.
??It looks like bad timing is the real villain. But Birthers are suing anyway blaming book sale numbers on a satirical piece written by Mark Warren entitled: "BREAKING! Jerome Corsi's Birther Book Pulled From Shelves!" In that parody, published in Esquire Magazine on May 18th, a 'fake' Corsi says that in light of the recent long form birth certificate produced by the White House, he is pulling the book because he does not want to look like an "idiot".
The satirical piece has inspired the real Corsi to file a lawsuit against Esquire, the Hearst Corporation and author Mark Warren for $285 millions dollars. The lawsuit states the article quoting the 'fake' Corsi has made him look 'ridiculous' and further that it has hampered his ability to sell the book through Barnes and Noble, Amazon and other book outlets. The book debuted at number 6 last week and today occupies the 14th spot on the New York Times non-fiction Hardcover best-seller list. Apparently that isn't good enough for Corsi.
After Obama released a copy of his long form birth certificate that, by the way, is not even the version officially accepted as verifiable proof of natural citizenship, the percentage of Americans who doubt Obama was really born here, dwindled by 50 percent. That leaves the curious and the diehards who are certain Obama was born in Kenya and refuse to believe any evidence to the contrary.
Esquire scoffs at the implication Warren's article leaves them open to a lawsuit. A spokesman for Esquire wrote: "Additionally, the piece was tagged as 'humor,' as are all of our frequent satire posts on Esquire's Politics Blog. That was not lost on our observant readers."
Is Esquire implying there may be an opening for a possible follow-up story?: Birthers Sue: 'Do not Understand the Concept of Satire'.
The book Where's the Birth Certificate? makes the case that Obama was not born in America and is not really the President of the United States. Apparently, Corsi believes he is the only one entitled to make up stuff.

It is the left, the epitome of hypocrisy which stifles free expression. they do it in a multitude of ways such as turning red in the face and screeching when high school players lower their heads in prayer before football game, when a student at a HS graduation invokes the name of GOD or even uses the word "bless" with a religious reference and the list goes on. You poor people actually then claim to be "the big tent party" which welcomes everyone when in point of fact you are a an extraordinary group of "my way or the highway" people.
Look at how the union thugs in Wisconsin beat and otherwise pushed around signature gatherers who were getting together enough signatures to recall some Democrats there? There are countless examples of the Left using force, mayhem and destruction to get their way or impeded others from expressing their views. How many times have we read of Conservative speakers at colleges not being allowed to speak? How many times did we see the same from the opposite side? Hint, NEVER.
In any case as we are seeing all across this great Nation, the tide has turned and with the literal beginning of the end for the social welfare State that was Europe, the Left in America as it is today will soon be relegated to the junk pile of history.
But, alas, damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead, for the truth must be told.

Lets look at what would have to be, in order for Obama's 'certificate of birth' (the document officially accepted as proof of natural citizenship) and the long form birth certificate (That is no longer recognized as proof, too easy to forge) to both be fake.
He has shown both. The governor of Hawaii would have to be 'in on it' But since he supports Obama, I am sure birthers believe he IS in on it. Someone would have had to fake these documents at some point and hacked into the hospital records to include the certificate of birth and someone else would have had to break in to the hospital and file the long form in the proper file.
This would have to be done before Obama officially announced his run for office. If these docs are frauds this is what would have happened. Further the long birth cert would have to be an exact copy of the certificate issued in the early sixties.
Or there would have to be several current hospital employees and the administrator responsible for releasing documents involved sneaking the fake docs in.
Where is the motive for all of this? Who is behind it? I can't see anyone being bribed to be in an illegal plot to elect a president. They would have to be threatened." Your family will die unless you cooperate." That leaves zealots who want to place their puppet in the white house. These zealots would have to already be employees at the hospital in Honolulu. Wow what a coincidence!
Here is my question for the birthers. How did the documents, fake or not, get there? Who put them there and why?
You are good at imagining things, it should be easy to imagine how the documents are where they should be.
If these docs are frauds this is what would have happened.

Nonsense! Anyone with a computer and ADOBE could take a legit BC and strip out the letters on it and insert what they want. In fact this is what was done to produce the latest fraud on the American people. Enough experts have come forward and detailed exactly how it was done. It's all over the web if you choose to see it. The liberal MSM will not report on it because they are "all in" for Obama and they would lose what little they have left of their credibility should they take this up.
As we draw closer to the election this issue will again come back strong and it will cast enough doubt in the minds of enough people to cause them to turn away from this fraud and failure of a president.

Without jobs, who pays for the government? Not corporations, not the poor, but the middle class, as always. Big problems. I don't understand the conservatives who believe government cutbacks, when people need them the most, is the way out of this. I don't understand not taxing corporations or the rich. They too benefit from resources, protections and infrastructure, then they ship jobs and capital overseas.
There should be a minimum tax. You can keep the incentives for business in place. But there should be a direct tax. Estimate the portions government paid for benefits corporations use. Measure that use. They use roads, they use resources, they use health and safety, they certainly use the military overseas to pave the way for extracting resources and influencing foreign governments. And yet - many pay zero taxes.
Are we insane? We are paying the passage so corporations can sail away to foreign shores.

Absolutely right!! The very idea there are 46% percent of working Americans who pay ZERO Federal Inc tax is an abomination. Everyone should pay even if it is as litt;e as 1 or 2 %.
Once people see they are being direct effected by outrageous government spending they will put the heat on the elected officials who so thoughtlessly throw our tax dollars around. It will make a HUGE difference.

True approximately 43% people within the United States do not actually pay taxes. But there is a valid reason behind their failing to do so which you have not taken into consideration in your comments, or have ignored.
That reason being, those people are employed in job capacities in which they are paid an annual salary ajudicated to be below the set poverty level for American families. As such, in most cases those low wage earners and their families are also receiving some sort of governmental assistance and therefore have no financial means by which to pay taxes, even 1-2% which you suggest. A person simply can not be expected to pay taxes on that which he/she has not actually earned above what is required to sustain the bare existance and welfare of his/her family.
To force such indignant people to pay taxes, would be condemning them into total poverty with the end result being family starvation and destitution. A scenario which no American would ever sentence another American family to suffer.
The inequality between what you pay in taxes and that which lower income earners are in the paying and/or not paying, may seem unfair to you in principle. However, given the opportunity, I seriously doubt that you would be willing to trade your financial situation for their's nor your lifestyle for that which they live.
The true inequality in taxes, is that of the 2% of the total American people who earn more than 53% of the total net income in our country, but pay less than 12% of their income in personal taxes. In some cases no taxes whatsoever are paid by the ultra rich of our society. While middle class Americans pay 18% in payroll taxes and account for more than 85% of all tax money collected by the IRS annually.
This inequality occurs because of the multitude of allowable deductions and financial loopholes within the tax reporting system which enables the 2% richest members of our society to circumvent paying their prescribed share.
Corporations are another big time circumventer of the tax system. They are afforded so many loopholes and deductions that in some instances the IRS actually ends up owing some corporations refunds in the billions of dollars annually. Monetary refunds which the corporations never even paid in taxes, but earned credits for in government rebates through investments, bussiness expansions, operation technologies etc. (loopholes)
Now if you want to discuss inequality in the taxing system, that is where to start. You take a business like the mighty Exxon Corp which earned approximately $70,000,000,000.00 in net profit income for the 2009 year, paid absolutely no taxes whatsoever on that earned income and ended up getting an IRS tax credit refund of $12,000,000,000.00 for the fiscial 2009 tax year.
However, with that as a known fact, you rant and rave about the poor and low income earners of our country not paying their fair share, Please give us all an honest break. Argue your point all you want, but at least when you do, demonstrate that you know what the basis of the problem is and/or have facts to back up you point of view. Not just ideological rhetoric with no substance nor basis of validity.
It would not eliminate people paying taxes over and above a minimum tax, but would help cover the maintenance cost of services everyone uses everyday, the infrastructure, the police and fire, the military that protects everyone.
There might be some tax $$$ left over to help the poor. Main thing I think would be to adjust their mindset. This is what keeps them in a self defeating cycle. Believe me I know what I am saying here have triumphed over self defeating thoughts that kept me down.
Jerome Corsi's civic status, however, could be called into question, in the not-too-distant future....IF the citizens of the country are willing to initiate a class action suit, to strip Corsi of his citizenship.....
The charge? Well, that's intuitively obvious:

President Obama possesses the character/intellect/personality and charisma to be a GREAT LEADER. In my opinion, President Obama needs to leave his partisanship on the "outside" of the gate that sorronds the White House - to stand alone - neutral to the bi-partisanship bickering and LEAD this country back where it needs to go.
Mr President, we need you to STAND-UP for ALL americans and LEAD Congress to both close the silly loopholes in our complicated tax system, raise taxes on corporations, cut wasteful government spending and address the necessary adjustments to Social Security, Medicare, Government Pensions and Entitlement Programs, trim Defense Spending back to pre-911 levels as a percentage of the overall budget and get Americans back to work.

Yes, I know it is not easy, none of this easy. Refusing to cooperate on any level is only making it harder even impossible to make ANY progress. I think John H. is saying you cannot hear with all the YELLING GOING ON. If you have ever had a family fight, you know nothing gets done or changed until everyone stops arguing. I think that is John's point. If I may, and I think I just did, interpret his posts.
And to to poster who does not have time to look up previous posts to understand where posters here stand, that statement is the heart of the problem. You assume and then you yell and then John has to defend himself, and then you yell at his defense and before you know we sound just like Congress.
