Anthony Weiner is now under investigation for messaging a 17-year-old high school junior. Police went to the teen's home in New Castle, Delaware, today to interview the girl about the message or messages she received from Weiner.
The teen went to Washington on a class trip on April 1st and heard the New York Congressman speak while there. She admired his politics and became a follower on his Twitter page.
He in turn followed the high school junior on her Twitter page, but then direct messaged the girl on April 13th. It is unknown what the message was about or even how many messages the teen received, according to Fox News.
Police are also investigating other underaged girls that Weiner may have messaged directly. While Weiner did say that he never "knowingly" had any communication with under age girls, he did not say he was confident that did not happen.
It appears that Weiner's case is far more involved than a Tweeted picture of bulging boxing shorts, which were first reported. This New York congressman's urges must have been so overwhelming for him to act on them this way, setting himself up to ruin his family life and his career.
While Weiner continues to defiantly refuse to step down from his seat in Congress, his pregnant wife, Huma, is standing by him. Will she still feel the same if in fact Weiner was messaging under age girls? This new investigation might be the last blow for Weiner's wife.
