Sarah Palin was seen at Sky Harbor airport in Phoenix yesterday. She flew down from Philadelphia, taking a break from her "One Nation" bus tour. It was a great opportunity to ask her why she bought a house in Scottsdale.
The Palins wanted a place to thaw out. Many people live in Arizona part-time as snowbirds to escape the harsh winters seen in other parts of the US. Sarah Palin said, "It is nice to take a break here and kind of regroup and get back out on the trail
and show people America's great historical sites."
The house the family bought is 8,000 square feet with six bedrooms, a wine cellar and a pool, plenty of space to cool off and unwind after a long road trip. Palin told the media, she has no plans to run for the senate seat Jon Kyl is vacating in 2012.
"I have not really considered that at all, but thanks for asking. You have great senators here though," said Palin.
Sarah Palin would not answer the question about a possible presidential run in 2012, however. She is at her home in Scottsdale before she continues her "One Nation" bus tour. The house may be a great platform to launch a presidential campaign, but for now the Palins want to be seen as ordinary snowbird residents here.
