Obama Flubs Toast to Queen Elizabeth

President Barack Obama made an embarrassing gaffe Tuesday during a salute to Queen Elizabeth.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please stand with me and raise your glasses as I propose a toast to her majesty, the queen," he said while lifting his glass during white-tie affair at Buckingham Palace.

That's when the, um, trouble happened. All of the VIP guests stood at the same time and the band struck up "God Save the Queen," the British national anthem. The president then placed his glass on the table until the song ended, according to Newsmax, as the Queen stood by awkwardly. Once the band finished, everyone raised their glasses.

Obama's lack of experience in diplomatic etiquette has been a source of national embarrassment since he's been in office, but this error might take the cake. At least, he isn't bowing before foreign heads-of-state anymore.

Remember, he once gave the Queen an iPod filled with his speeches as a present. Obama also once referred to France as our strongest friend in the world, and returned a bust of Winston Churchill which was showcased in the White House Oval Office.

To late, I was already branded a racist in 2008 for daring to disagree with a black candidate and his policies. The nerve of me.

If he would release his school records, then people would stop with the affirmative action label.

Isnt there a difference when someone is black and someone is part white and part black..? I think it shows the stupidity of the left when they claim that he is a black man and ignores the truth... LOL!!!!

I don't see his flub as a big deal. I love the Brits I really do, but there is a reason why we don't have a monarchy or even a "head-of-state" queen like the Canadians. Obama doens't have the expertice that an 'elitist' like Bush did, he didn't come from a family that hosted foreign dignitaries, most of us would flub on the proper etiquette, since most of us will never be invited to dinner with the queen.
As for him calling France our strongest ally... well wasn't it the French who helped us... against the British! I don't expect our President to come in and continue the tired archaic customs of the WASP former presidents, thats why we elected him. Britian should be trying to please us; great ally or not, we gain nothing from them (except Red Dwarf), while their importance is just standing by our side.

James, it was the French who wouldn't allow our planes to fly over their air space to go after Libya during Reagan's term. Britain has always been a great ally. France not so much.

From watching the video, I don't see or hear President Obama flubbing up. It was the band that jumped the gun and started playing before he was through.

I expect Britain to attack any day for this great Travesty.
Since England is a Nuclear armed Nation, we should go to Defcom 1.

Looked as if the band started playing before President Obama finished the toast. Didn't notice the flub. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong video.

It is 2011, not 2008 which is the year he signed in on. It is trivial but it would have been on the front page of the major liberal papers in the country if GWB had done the same thing. It is the difference between how the MSM treated GWB and how it treats BHO.
