Constitutional expert and ongoing political sideshow Sarah Palin has been caught on film desecrating an American flag, as defined by U.S. law.
The video evidence (below) shows Palin signing any number of items with a Sharpie during an interview with The Guardian. Said items include a book, a hat, and an American flag -- which is against the law.
As pointed out by Salon, according to the Flag Code: "Subsection 8, part (g) reads: 'The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature'."
Should Palin -- who, of course, was once the governor of one of these United States and ran as vice president on a major political party's ticket (and may yet run for the actual presidency one of these days) be expected to possess knowledge of such arcane matters? It's a real humdinger of a question, you betcha, by golly wow.
