For the last few days, there has been a lot of speculation that Sarah Palin could be throwing her hat into the ring for the 2012 presidency. But the real threat could be coming from Newt Gingrich. Gingrich recently said that he was serious about running for the presidency.
"I've never been this serious," Gingrich told the AP.
Gingrich hasn't made a formal decision, but he plans to at the beginning of next year. The
New York Daily News reports that Gingrich will be helping Republicans win seats during the midterm elections, but come February, he will decide if he is going to run for President.
"I think he (Barack Obama) will replace Jimmy Carter as the worst president of modern times," Gingrich said. "He is a disaster."
Republican opposition is going to be at its strongest in 2012. But I think that the most likely candidate is Sarah Palin, although the most probably is Mitt Romney.
The
New York Daily News reports that a recent poll in Iowa shows that 62% of Republicans in Iowa were likely to vote for Romney, while 58% favored Palin.

What does this mean?
I believe you will see the two top runners for Republican primary to be Romney and Jindal.
I think the bigger news will be if Hillary would challenge Obama. This would be her last shot for the "brass ring".
Or can you shed some light on the Obama-Hillary LoveFest that the rest of us DO NOT know?
2012 would be Hillary's very last chance at 1600 - she's a brilliant politician and one who believes that it is her destiny to be President - and you don't think she sits and watches and wonders???????????????????????????????
As far as the Kennedy/Jefferson ticket goes - remember that the government has somehow "LOST" Kennedy's brain - so that does not look likely...too bad though - I'd vote for them!
