Jobs: April saw most hiring in four months.

Hiring will not occur without an improvement in the economy. Definitely, the economy is slowly improving. It follows that jobs are increasing slowly. In April there was a very favorable increase of 290,000 jobs, the highest number in four years!

The improved situation caused so many more people to pour into the labor force in search of employment that un-employment increased from 9.7% to 9.9%

Hiring by the federal government during the census period added many of these jobs, but the hiring by private employers is surprisingly strong at 240,000 jobs.

Many have expected miracles from our President, not a miracle maker but a man. His policies are working, and the future will become brighter slowly.

We will see a drop in employment rates again when the the majority of the census employees will be laid of by June 17, also seasonal IRS employees will begin their furlough at the end of this month and continue through June, the economy will teater a bit because of the seasonal and temporary jobs. But overall I hope it will improve from here on out....

THe job picture will not get better unless we can come up with a new manufacturing economy. The lost jobs of the last 8yrs. are not comming back. There has to be a new way of tackling the unemployment problem. It has nothing to do politics, left or right, we have no time to waste. Our young people need to start working now, not in 2, or 3 yrs. They can not wait for the long run. How we do it, I dont know, but we pay good money for people to come up with answers.
