From what I've heard, most of the "regular people" protesters don't even realize they have had their taxes cut. It would be a shame to let the facts or the truth get in the way of their fun.

all he wants is blind followers. Any type of a difference of opinion makes him automatically become defensive and, since he is president, abusive of his position.

He should have never commented on it being that there is nothing to gain...which means he will only have the chance to lose.

What I got from the comment was the irony of the situation. Protesting by T (taxed) E (enough) A (already) folks, when they were given tax breaks unseen in decades. As every other president in the past has done....made light of a situation. No news here.

Social Security and Medicare are taxes, yes, but for a purpose, and if you have parents or grandparents, chances are they are entirely dependent on these socialist programs.

Texas Rocks, your comment reveals more about you than you realize. I don't think, after eight years of George W. Bush, that any president would have blind followers. In any case, an intelligent president wouldn't want them unless his or her only goal is to stay in office or not have active debate.

I found it amusing that William took his clip from MSNBC,a station almost nobody watches (except mabe the True Believers like Catt and Cena). I also found the rebuttal of Michelle Bachman's characterization of the Obama Administration as a "Gangter Government" to be a total riot! I might remind our historically-challanged "friends" on the left that Adolf Hitler was also elected,and so was the Nazi Party,which made up the majority of the representatives in the german Reichstag back in the 1930's. Kieth Oberman might just as well have been Josef Goebbels,spewing his usual mixture of propaganda and acidic invective. Norman, when your "fair and balanced" station cuts out the parts they don't want you to to see, things (like the president's speech) still happen. They are still news, whether or not fox decides its viewers can "handle it."

Yeah Linda, you keep telling yourself that. What I do know is that Barack Obama is the president of your country and if he was scared he wouldn't have run for office. The main reason to mention tea party rallies on tax day is irony. The audience surely caught his meaning, even if you didn't.

The more vitriol and hate emanating from the left the more people will rise up and vote against it this fall.

It's also a sign of how effective we TEA Party Patriots are and a sign that Obama see's the writing on the wall, Dems will lose big this fall.

Right, right!! If you hate govenment intereference then return your stimulus checks, stop taking advantage of buyers incentives and return your tax refunds if you think the government is interfering in your lives. Lets repeal the FDIC protection. Let's just let the banks do exactly what they want to the consumer by charging fee upon fee. Let's disband the military and discourage police enforcement of law. Let's just get rid of judges. Hell, let's get rid of our Congressman and Senators. Why even have a President? these folks are part of the government and surely gets in my way of having a Tea Party world.
