First he says he does, then he doesn't, then he does.... support a single taxpayer system. So he can't make up his mind? I don't think so.... this guy will say whatever he thinks the people around at the time want to hear.

I get bashed, too. I don't care. People need to take their blinders off.
If this damn healthcare thing was so wonderful, #1 yes congress and the president would be more than willing to participate themselves and #2 it wouldn't be MANDATORY or you pay a "fine" or "tax" if you don't comply, and #3 there wouldn't have to be some huge zillion page bill that hardly a soul can understand to implement it... it would be in plain English and actually say something instead of a whole lot of mumbo jumbo.
This isn't just about healthcare, either. It's all about control and them wanting to have control over how the whole country and how our lives are run.
They can't properly run what they already have in place.... that's what really gets me.... it's running out of money and provides substandard care. Yet they think they can run a better program for millions more?? and yet there are people who actually believe they can. It's so easy to think the other side is greener. In a way that part makes it easy for them... American's have been in that "more more more" frame of mind for awhile now so many of them are easy to convince.
This is a tactic liberals often use when they have nothing to really say but can't stand to see the truth.
He did actually say those things. No one made it up or pieced them together to make it seem like he said them.
But the opposition will come out and say that it was "Republican Lies".
It's hard to stand up to Soros $5 million ond advertising to propagandize the unreading/thining massess who don't think they should be responsible for their own lives.
Hello, Abigal. You are right. It doesn't make sense. From either side. If we consider the word messiah to be wholly connected and attached to the actual God of everything.
Abigal Ja said: Where I grew up only time we used the Lord's name was during prayers. I think it is wrong that people are calling the President that.
Well, hmmm ... here is what the dictionary says:
Mes-si-ah
Definition 1. according to Old Testament prophecies, the anticipated deliverer of the Jews.
Definition 2. according to the New Testament, Jesus Christ, regarded as the fulfillment of this prophecy; Christ.
Definition 3. (l.c.) any expected deliverer or liberator, esp. of a nation or people.
So, when the right uses it, it's probably a number 3 thing, a lowercase 'm' messiah, and it's used as a way to mock some on the left who seem to think Obama can do no wrong, and who treat him that way, too. He is no one's Messiah. But politically some of his followers seem to think of him in a way which comes quite close to level. +shrug+

I am sorry but that still don't make sense to me. Where I grew up only time we used the Lord's name was during prayers. I think it is wrong that people are calling the President that. But I am learning that people think differently and sometimes are really strange.
The wingnuts call the President the Messiah because they're so used to kissing Ronald Reagan's corpse.
No progressive has ever used that term. I think it's amusing.
It also speaks to the absolute lack of direction that they have in their party. They actually think Sarah Palin is a viable political candidate.
Ali Hussein is mistaken (on sooo many things).
So .... this will be a repaste of comments I have made previously. Still valid, apparently. :)
I . . . the times I've heard the term [messiah] from the right is when someone is describing, or mocking the way some on the left idolize him.
Of course you know that we know that most of you know he isn't really the, or even 'a' messiah, so I'm sure that explanation makes sense to you.
I know the truth doesn't lend itself to snarky humor (for either side) as much as the misrepresentation of it does .. but that's the way it is.
Then again ... there are those who do seem to take the messiah thing a bit more seriously than is advisable or even . . . healthy.
Like these two mmm... actually there are three in the post. But there are two who interact with each other - two who are far from right wing. Check out these three in the article below.
And take a good look at the two who are talking to each other, if you are interested:

In the first video, a familiar guy talking to others who are, or after the talk become, of the same frame of mind.
In the second video, the one says it ... and the other remarkably, agrees by saying, 'yes...' You'll see what I mean if you are interested in checking out the above page.

I have no party affiliation. I have voted for democrats, republicans and independants alike. I vote on issues not by party.
The liberals themselves have MADE Obama THEIR Messiah.
I had nothing to do with that.
There may be some people who have called him that. I've never heard anyone do it. I'm not a liberal myself. I voted for Obama fully realizing that a lot of his positions were much more conservative than I like. Health care is a great example. His approach to reform doesn't do away with insurance companies. He's conservative on national security too. He's a moderate on social issues, similar to people from the past like Nelson Rockefeller and Jacob Javits. He's definitely a centrist by 50s standards.
I'd tell you what "party" I think it is, but you'd probably delete that too.
That's an interesting attempt to make a point, even if you've failed miserably. I give you props for at least attempting to think your way out of a transparent plastic bag.
It's only people on the right who call the President the messiah. Can you refute that?
And as for saying nothing at all, you do it well on every post.
:) I know you have to say that ... and I understand; but I think my point is clearly made.
The right uses the term to mock the left (those from the left who cried that they wouldn't have to worry about their mortgages getting paid anymore, those who had tingles up the leg, those who actually said he was the messiah who was going to lead the children, and those who actually call him godlike ... all libs).
In fact, I think the right may even have used the term after hearing it specifically from Obama supporters (possibly Farrakhan) ... if I had time, further investigation into whether the right or the left first used the term might be interesting.
Either way, the right uses the term in response to the left's response to Obama.
The truth of which, as I said previously, "does not lend itself to snarky humor (for either side) as much as the misrepresentation of it does .."
But that is the way it is". +shrug+
