You know who you are!  You low rate someone simply because you don't like their politics and you go around to other articles they write simply to get even.  Well, let me give you a clue: you aren't getting even with anyone.  In fact, all you are doing is proving that you are petty and vindictive.  You aren't changing anything and you aren't accomplishing anything.  You can give me all the low ratings you want but I'm going to keep speaking out and expressing my views.  And, so will the rest of those of us who have values and morals.

But you know, they are doing something. They're getting us more points/$. The page view helps our points, so who cares about the low raters. Plus if they actually comment and their "friends" comment stalk, that brings even more people. :-)l

Holy cow, Kimberly! Don't get your claws out! Good for you, though. We all have entitlement to state our views. Drive-by rating only means they are afraid to comment. And Marilyn is absolutely right! The rating means nothing but the points sure do help!

The fact is...when I first arrived at Gather...they did the same thing to me. The more I got angry and wrote these kind of posts, the worse it got and for no good reason. I took the advice of the other Gather members and just ignored them. I even turned off my ratings, because they really don't count towards points anyway. The rest of my stuff that is rated...even if it's low...I didn't let it bother me and eventually they stopped. They get a kick out of getting people upset. Hang in there!

Glad your not going to let the low raters stop you from expressing yourself. It is a shame that some people are so petty. I don't understand why people low rate unless the article is truly horrid. Even then I find myself unable to low rate. If I don't care for something I just move on.

Good for you Kimberly. I wrote a few posts like this too and up until recently it was my most viewed post. Yes...it does work...doesn't it.

I seem to have several trolls. They just follow me around and view my pages. They give me 1's but the page views give me money. :)
