I notice this forum has decided not to publish ANY of my articles which I've submitted. While everyone can have an opinion and the moderator of this group can decide to publish or not, any articles. I believe suppression of members views leaves the members only hearing what the moderator wants you to hear. I shall now disconnect from this Political Forum, since my membership seemingly is not wanted. How come when WHITE presidents used a teleprompter, it was never an ISSUE????
Chris W.,

it's a point. Certain people seem to have a strong need to believe that Obama cannot function without a teleprompter. Why the need? Why does it matter? I shouldn't be snide, but Bush generally had not much meaningful to say with or without one.

I don't think so, Bhumika. Anti Obama rants are pretty common on Gather. We have plenty of right wingers in the USA, and they love to vent.

Can anyone tell me why a bank will lend money on a mortgage, eat the loss of a defaulted mortgage, foreclose on a home that is worth 5-10% of its mortgaged value, throw the homeowner out, and resell the home for such a proportionately low amount that its scary these people run a business? My point is, wouldnt it make 1000x more sense to: 1) Refinance the homeowner at a lower rate 2) Allow the homeowner to stay in the home and make the lower payments, which are far better than no payments at all 3) The money helps the bank, the economy and keeps the homeowner paying utilities, upkeep and taxes on home. 4) The bank wins, the homeowner wins, society wins, the Nation wins, and all because, gasp, someone at the bank had the guts to think outside the Mortgage Box!!

Why would banks do what is reasonable ?

In my experience, most decision makers cannot grasp cost effective business practices, nor can they seem to grasp simplicity. Sounds like a great thesis for an MBA student to me.

SO True... It's a shame that the greed of the banks has overcome their ability to think in a logical manner. I have been saying the same thing for years. Why not help the homeowner by reducing their payment as some form of payment is better than none. in the end all would win. But... the Bankers are thinking of the multiple homes, cars, planes, diamonds, parties, and the outrageous lifestyle they have been living on everyone's money they have cheated them out of.

Defying Gov’t Censorship, EPA Attorneys Speak Out Against White House-Backed Climate Change Proposal “Cap and Trade” The Environmental Protection Agency is being accused of trying to silence two longtime EPA enforcement attorneys who have publicly criticized a key component of the climate change legislation being considered by Congress. Last week the EPA directed Laurie Williams and Allan Zabel to remove or edit a video they posted to YouTube that warns a cap-and-trade plan will not effectively combat global warming and is “fatally flawed.” The couple instead advocate for a solution involving carbon fees with rebates.
